Analysis is the key to design an effective product. An effectively designed product performs the required task efficiently. FE Analysis gives insights to a designer about the relation and reactions of the designed product when subjected to real world operating conditions without going for manufacturing process and testing the actual product which saves the time and cost involve in further improvement of design.
As a designer I use the Finite Element Analysis as a tool in the design process to analyze the designs while they are in the form of CAD model for quick engineering evaluation at the level of extreme use- case scenarios and to ensure prompt implementation of analysis results in design process.
Analysis of design probes into the modeling and simulation of the design, process of analysis can be easily understood by the following process chart.
